PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CROWN RECORDS MANAGEMENT U.K. EXPANDS INTO FLAGSHIP SITE A Larger, Technologically Improved Facility Allows Crown to Better Serve its Clients LONDON, June 9, 2009—Crown Records Management, the world's number one, private, business information storage company, announces the significant growth of its premises in Enfield with expansion into Heritage House, the 200,000 square feet former headquarters of Pickfords. Pickfords was sold last year after more than 30 years operating in Enfield. Specifically constructed in 1995 for moving, relocation and records management services, the prestigious Enfield site is ideally suited to Crown's business, which includes global relocations, records management, logistics and fine arts services. Heritage House features over 180,000 square feet of sprinkler-protected warehousing space, subdivided by automated fire protection shutters and monitored by the very latest fire and intruder detection systems. Some of the facility's chambers are also fitted with specialist mezzanine racking over four levels, with in-rack smoke detection and sprinkler systems for storing documents and magnetic media. Others feature storage modules for securely holding clients' furniture and possessions ahead of global and office relocation. Crown first moved into part of Heritage House in 2006 when it acquired Pickfords Records Management. The facility is set on a landscaped 11.5 acre site with an adjacent 30,000 square feet, two-storey, office complex. As well as ample parking for several hundred vehicles and yard space to accommodate road-trains, the site also has its own 70,000 litre fuel tank and electrical charging bays to support Crown's diesel and environmentally friendly electric vehicle fleet. As the new Crown signage was erected, Frank Hopping, Crown Records Management's managing director, UK & Ireland, commented: "We're very proud to be able to continue using this prestigious site for its intended purpose. Since the start of the year we've seen ongoing growth in our records management business, securing several major new contracts including a leading supermarket chain and two top-20, UK law firms. We are therefore planning to extend our records management operation at the site and to provide additional capacity to future new clients."
