PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CROWN RECORDS MANAGEMENT SPONSORS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IHRIM Collaborates with Crown to Institute Lifetime Achievement Award LONDON, August 15, 2008—Crown Records Management, the world's number one private business information storage company, is now accepting nominations for a Lifetime Achievement award as part of its twenty-fifth anniversary celebration. The objective of this award is to recognize achievement of outstanding excellence by health records management practitioners who work in system implementation and information management. It is open to all health records management practitioners working in the healthcare sector in the UK. (Both the National Health Service, or NHS, and the private healthcare sector) The selection criteria are designed to include not only practitioners with direct experience but those who have made a significant contribution to education and knowledge sharing. Nominees outside the UK are ineligible. All participants must be from the UK. Nominees do not have to be members of the Institute of Health Records and Information Management (IHRIM). They should have significant involvement (15 years or more) with health records management, but do not have to currently hold a health records management post and may still be considered if retired. Nominees should be able to demonstrate a proven record of achievement in areas of commitment to the profession and commitment to sharing knowledge. A person may nominate several people but not him or herself. The deadline for completed nomination forms is September 26, 2008. The winner will be announced and the presentation made at the IHRIM 2008 annual dinner, on October 7, 2008, at the time of the IHRIM Diamond Jubilee conference to be held at the Daresbury Park Hotel.
