About Crown China
In China, Crown operates ten Records Management Centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Dalian, Suzhou, Nanjing and Chengdu.
Crown Beijing has recently expanded its storage facilities by opening it’s Ultracenter in the Tongzhou Logistics Park, which is adjacent to the BDA (Beijing Development Area). The new Ultracenter provides a state of the art document management facility of 20,700 square meter (222,815 square feet).
Crown Shanghai is also expanding its facility, and recently did the ground break for its second phase, adjacent to the existing facility, scheduled to be completed by first quarter 2009. Crown Shanghai now resides in an 8,000 square-meter facility with 6,800 square meter of warehouse space on Sui De Road in the northwest Logistic and Development Zone of Shanghai. The second phase will be of similar dimensions.
Only Crown’s designated staff members are allowed entry into Crown’s Records Center facilities. And, all staff members undergo evaluations by security and are required to sign confidentiality agreements.
Crown first set up business in China in Beijing in 1986 as a representative office. In 2005, the company received a CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement between mainland China and Hong Kong) business license, which allowed Crown, as a Hong Kong based company, to legally operate its Beijing business as a wholly owned foreign enterprise. Crown is the first WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) records Management company in China.
This license enables Crown to freely employ its own staff, operate its own facilities and vehicles and establish direct contractual relations with customers–strengthening Crown’s quality service delivery. This certificate brings added value to customers, which already benefit from Crown’s large network of 10 major facilities throughout China.
