Crown sponsors Records Management Ireland Group meeting


Crown Records Management Ireland recently sponsored the Irish Records Management Group meeting in Dublin. Hosted at the spectacular National Library of Ireland, the objective of this regional group is to bring local records managers together to discuss storage of data and share experiences of putting robust policies and procedures in place to ensure best practise.

Crown business manager Robert Kunkels and Mark Rix corporate business manager presented the changes that have taken place over the years to see the emergence of the records management industry & what the future holds. Other sessions at the event included advice on how to store information on site, the implementation of records management system and the storage of electronic data.

“Secure storage is a topical issue for a broad range of organisations at the moment. We’re constantly encouraging records managers to review the way they hold data to ensure it is safe and easy to access” said Robert during his presentation.

Also attending was Martin Budd who said “Such events helps to raise the Crown Records Management profile while demonstrating our industry knowledge to a targeted audience. These regional activities are useful networking activities."
