Hike for Hospice 2008

Yet again, our Crown teams were ready to take up the challenges of conquering Hong Kong’s hilly terrain in the New Territories. For the 7th year in a row, two dedicated teams with Jim Thompson taking the lead, mastered the much rainier and wet conditions that this year’s hike presented.

The 2008 Hike for Hospice was successfully held on February 24 at Pat Sin Leng Country Park with over 420 hikers participating. The much cooler weather this year made the hike a bit more challenging as the rain sprinkled down from time to time making the ground muddy and slippery.

However, that did not lessen the high spirit of the Crown teams consisting of Jim, Sally, Veronica, Anastasia, Martin, Sherry, Chris, Susanne, Jeremy, Marie, Philip and Edwin who enthusiastically hiked away.

The Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care, founded in 1986, is committed to promoting hospice and palliative care and providing bereavement support to people facing the loss of a loved one.
