Crown Wins RoSPA award for Health & Safety
Crown Records Management, UK, is proud to announce having earned one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2008.
The Silver Award will be presented at a ceremony in the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, adjacent to the National Exhibition Centre, on Thursday, May 15, alongside Safety & Health Expo 2008 -- the UK’s premier health & safety at work exhibition.
David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said: “Crown Records Management Ltd (UK) has shown commitment to protecting the health and well being of its employees and others. We hope other businesses and organisations will follow its lead and strive for continuous improvement in health and safety management.”
Frank Hopping, managing director for Crown Records Management, UK said, “We take the matter of proactive Health and Safety awareness seriously at Crown Records Management. Since 2006, we have completed a comprehensive review and update of our health and safety management systems across all of our 30 plus locations in the UK. I am delighted that this has been recognised by RoSPA as worthy of a Silver Award, this year.”
The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. Entering the awards scheme reinforces the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s dedication to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.
The president of RoSPA, Baroness Anne Gibson of Market Rasen, deputy president, Lord Jordan of Bournville, and the vice-president Lord Brougham & Vaux, will host gala dinners on May 13 – 15 for representatives of award-winning organisations at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, with entertainment by one of the country’s top live acts, comedian Ed Bryne.
The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2008 are sponsored by The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
