The Board

Five people serve on PRISM’s Executive Board. They oversee the organization’s vision as well as the appointment of the ten Directors to serve on the Board. Organized by committees and specific tasks, the Board strives to accomplish the objectives set out by the organization. The Directors are chosen to represent different geographic regions and typically serve for three years.

The team oversees specific tasks such as the impact of new U.S./E.U. regulations, research & development, ethics, strategic planning and others. When they were seeking representation for the Asia-Pacific region, they called on Philip Britton, group vice president for Crown Records Management. Philip was appointed as director of the “Asia Committee” which includes Asia, the Middle East and Africa. “In today’s global economy, it’s essential to share knowledge with industry specialists. As technology is evolving quickly and regulations are being defined, clients need information to support their records management programs. The PRISM organization helps to foster communication and to develop global best practices,” noted Philip.

The team attends bi-annual Board Meetings and organizes three conferences a year: in Europe, Asia and the U.S. On February 14th-16th, The Asia Committee held the “PRISM International Asia Pacific Region Conference” at the InterContinental Grand Stanford in Hong Kong. Philip served as a speaker and lead a presentation about records management trends in the Asia region. Attendees also enjoyed a tour of Crown’s Records Management facility in Hong Kong. Crown’s Shatin facility opened in 1988. The four-story facility has a total floor area of more than 146,000 square feet and includes 18 bays for loading and unloading vehicles.

Crown Records Management has been a member of the PRISM organization for over twenty years

Philip, an English National, holds a BA Hons from the University of London. As Crown’s group vice president of Records Management, his main responsibility entails promoting the benefits of Records Management to Crown’s clients, from implementation to rolling out procedures to sharing best practices. Another important aspect of Philip’s role is the development of new products and services, including the roll out of new technology systems to Crown’s 250 Management Centers. He also shares best practices such as Health & Safety, customer feedback procedures and operational efficiencies, including ISO processes and management Center security systems.
