Crown chairman Jim Thompson praised the team, “I’d like to give my sincere congratulations to all of you for winning the most prestigious award given out by the Crown Group each year. As the company continues to grow, there is much more competition for this award and it takes a very superlative performance to win it.
“When we make the choice of the Crown Operation of the Year, we look at many factors. We consider the overall expansion of each office in the businesses we are developing, such as records management, global mobility services, fine arts and logistics. We felt that Crown Singapore was doing a very good job in developing most of these businesses and we feel confident that expansion will continue.
“We also look at the support the branches provide to the rest of the Group. As a Regional Manager, Paul Sullivan is required to travel to India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and more recently Cambodia. He has also called on the resources of certain Singapore staff to help the operations in his region and this has resulted in the positive growth of these operations. Support such as this is what Crown should be all about.
"Other important considerations are quality scores, staff attitude and commitment, facility appearance and client perception in the community. We want to be the best in all these categories and we have noted that Crown Singapore has been recognized by the Singaporean magazine Human Resources as the Best Mover in Singapore—two years in a row.
"Overall, Crown Singapore has scored extremely well in all categories for the past year and I am very proud of your performance.”
