For many years, Crown Hong Kong has supported local community and charities in numerous ways, including donating moving services to several charities, annual participation in Hike for Hospice, donating and volunteering staff take orphans to Ocean Park (a conservation-focused amusement park), sponsoring the Heifer International program, hosting charitable events at the Crown Wine Cellars and much more.
Crown Chairman Jim Thompson noted, "This impressive list includes just some of what makes managing director of Greater China, Billy Wong, a deserving recipient of Crown's first Community Service award. Crown Hong Kong has shown itself to be a true and caring citizen of its community. The team has helped build Crown Hong Kong's reputation as a very caring company that is committed to helping make Hong Kong a better place for everyone–especially the less fortunate."
Crown Hong Kong, demonstrating outstanding achievements in community care, has also been recognized as the Caring Company for the seventh year, by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The Caring Company Scheme, supported by the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), is geared towards building a caring community spirit through cultivating corporate citizenship and strategic partnerships between businesses and the social service sector.
