View from the Board
In this new decade, it is interesting to ponder the sheer global reach of information management as well as the variety of sectors that we support. This often unsung service is critical to both corporate and public sectors, and the incidence of error is virtually zero. It is a credit to the people and systems deployed in the storage, movement and management of both hard copy and electronic data, that this is happening every day, all around our globe, like a well oiled machine.

As a truly global company, we are able to share best practices, deploy expertise, and roll out common systems that capture the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that allow us to manage and measure the business. Yes, in Africa as well as in Amsterdam. This visibility is not only a benefit to us, but more importantly, to our clients, many of whom are global or regional themselves. This trend is growing as procurement endeavor to leverage volume, and records management professionals seek stronger compliance through ease of access to the bigger picture.
As you will read in this issue, we are proud to serve a variety of key business sectors, from banking to healthcare and some fascinating niches such as historical archives, film negatives, geological samples and even ballot papers. Our professional staff take great pride in handling these irreplaceable items, and you will read about some of our heroes here too.
Finally, it is great to be recognised for making a difference in our communities, a core value for Crown, and the Executive Board applauds these locally driven initiatives.
