Crown "Building Bridges"
The Records Management Scotland group together with the Society of Archivists recently held their quarterly autumn meeting at the Old College Playfair Library, at the University of Edinburgh. The group of over 90 records managers and archivists meet to discuss and debate on current matters of concern in their field.
Because this was the first time the two groups held a meeting together, the theme for this event was "Building Bridges." The aim being to bring members of the two organisations together to identify more avenues they can explore to make use of their respective skills.
The meeting opened with a short thank you from Edith Pringnault-Adam, secretary, Records Management Scotland & Information Officer, Aberdeen Council. "It is my pleasure to thank Crown Records Management for sponsoring the Records Management Scotland & SoAS joint event. Without your funding such an event would not be possible. From our point of view it is a successful meeting."
Crown Records management was represented by Mark Rix, corporate sales manager, Craig Stanger, business manager (Scotland) and Ann Gordon. They took the opportunity to network with attendees and reinforce the Crown Records Management name with the Scottish audience.
