Canada Goes Greener

Toronto, Canada – Reducing environmental impact is a priority for all Crown’s offices.

Among its environmental activities, Crown Canada already recycles all its waste products where possible, and now adds to this with low-emissions trucks.

The newest addition to the Toronto fleet is the zero emission certified, Freightliner M2. The ‘clean idle’ truck also comes in a hybrid version.

The standard Freightliner M2 truck has zero emissions while idling and is manufactured to produce no more pollution than a regular car while in motion – even though it’s a full size truck.

This line of trucks is offered by one of only a handful of manufacturers currently building to meet Canada's extremely tight 2010 emissions standards for trucks.

Many truck manufacturers choose to pay a penalty to manufacture vehicles that are not in compliance to be price competitive.

Crown Records Management’s choice of fully compliant trucks is a good example of its commitment to reduce its carbon footprint and impact on the environment. Crown intends to add more low emissions truck to its fleet in all its locations around the world.
