Background and challenges

The client - a leading water purifier company in India, were planning for expansion at their head office as well as branches. With real estate prices being high, their plan was to store the records in a warehouse. Their records were quite unorganised and were dumped in a separate room. There was no parking space available near one of the branches and the vehicle had to be parked at a distance of more than 200 metres. Finally, there was no inventory of the files.

The solution

We made the client feel the need to organise their records as it would have taken more than a day’s time to find a single record out of the huge room.

We helped them prepare inventory and also analyse what all records they wanted to keep and destroy the unwanted ones. This helped the client segregate unwanted data and as a result we got an additional job of providing the client with secured records destruction services.

Additional man-power and handcarts were arranged to pick up from the location where there was parking space constraint.

The outcome

The client was so happy with our services that they decided to extend our services on a Pan-India basis. In the month of January, 2013, we picked more than 3,000 cartons in Mumbai alone!

Our inventory helped the client to segregate unwanted data and also we got an additional job of providing the client with secured records destruction services.
