Crown Information Management has officially opened a new Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Center in Hong Kong, strengthening its ability to help organisations manage retired IT assets securely, compliantly, and sustainably throughout their lifecycle.
Located at Crown’s Shatin facility, the new center enhances the company’s capabilities in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), secure data destruction, and end-of-life IT asset management, helping organisations address growing information security, regulatory compliance, and sustainability requirements.
Highlight of the opening was a live demonstration led by Tze Shen Kong, Asia CEO, Iris Lai, Greater China Managing Director, and Jeffrey Chong, Hong Kong General Manager. During the demonstration, retired IT equipment including laptops and handheld devices were securely processed and destroyed, showcasing Crown Information Management’s commitment to protecting sensitive information through certified disposal and data destruction processes.
Supporting secure digital transformation
As organisations continue to accelerate digital transformation initiatives or right-sizing their workplace, the volume of retired laptops, mobile devices, storage media, and other IT assets continues to grow. Managing these assets securely has become a critical challenge for IT teams, compliance professionals, facilities & operations teams, and IT service providers.
The new Asset Lifecycle Management Center enables organisations to address this challenge through a structured and secure approach to IT asset retirement, helping reduce the risk of data breaches, improve visibility over disposed asset, and support regulatory compliance requirements.
Operated by Crown Information Management, the service offering provides customers with secure, auditable processes designed to ensure sensitive information is properly managed throughout the final stages of the asset lifecycle.
Strengthening information security, compliance and ESG goals
The launch of the Asset Lifecycle Management Center reflects Crown Information Management’s continued investment in helping organisations strengthen information governance, data protection, and risk management practices.
In addition to secure IT asset disposal, the facility supports organisations seeking to align technology asset management with broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives by promoting responsible handling and disposition of retired equipment.
By combining secure data destruction, regulatory compliance support, and sustainable asset management practices, Crown Information Management helps customers reduce risk, protect confidential information, and support their corporate sustainability commitments.
A growing asset lifecycle management offering
The new Asset Lifecycle Management Center represents another milestone in Crown Information Management’s commitment to delivering trusted solutions across the entire information lifecycle.
As organisations face increasing demands around cybersecurity, compliance, digital transformation, and ESG reporting, Crown Information Management remains focused on helping customers manage information and technology assets securely, responsibly, and efficiently.
